Announcements

Julie Waterman has accepted the challenge of becoming Advancement Chair for the troop. She is taking over this duty from Katrina Carstensen. . Julie’s new duties will be limited to Advancements only, and will not include all of Katrina’s former duties.

Wendy Wren will be taking over responsibility for the Newsletter from Julie Waterman. If you have information to be included in the newsletter, please email it to Wendy Wren at wwren1@maine.rr.com. Her phone number is 829-4371.

June 15, 2002 2:00 PM – Dusk
Annual Pig Roast at Bradbury Mountain State Park
Arrival at 2:00 for games (baseball, Frisbee, soccer, etc.). Bring your mountain bike if you’d like to try out the new trail!
Dinner will be served around 5:00 PM (pig roast and pot luck – bring a dish!), and will be followed by the Court of Honor.

June 17, 2002 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Weekly Troop Meeting: Annual Water Balloon Fight at Sharps Field (near the new North Yarmouth Town Hall) – to include water pistols, water balloons, etc. Wear clothes that can get soaked, and bring a towel!
To be followed with hot dog grill feast at Westcustago Hall
Please also bring nonperishable food for a food bank food drive to this meeting.

This is the last regular meeting of the year – see you in September!!

 

Other Events

June 7, 2002 – Paddy Foran’s Eagle Scout Ceremony. The older scouts may remember Paddy, who used to be a member of our troop. Information will be supplied at June 3rd meeting for anyone interested.

June 8-9, 2002 – Nate Moore will be looking for help with his Eagle Scout project at Bradbury Mountain. Please sign up if you can help.

June 22, 2002 – Skyline Farm is having an Ice Cream Social.

August 4-9, 2002 – Summer Camp at Camp Hinds

Ralph Hutchinson will be contacting the adults who showed interest in helping chaperone this group to get the scheduling straight. If you are interested and he does not call you, please call him!
