WINTER CAMPING AT CAMP HINDS

2 of our troop members, Brad Putnam and Don Moody went to Camp Hinds over winter school break. They built igloos and slept in them. They also came home with 3 merit badges each. Some that they earned were Electricity, Snow Sports, Computers and Sculpture. Ask them about the fun activities they did.

 

KLONDIKE DERBY

The Klondike Derby was held the weekend of February 10, and Troop 58 entered one team with six boys. The theme was "Overnight Winter Trek in the White Mountains." Here's a special Derby Report from the Lavoies

 

MARCH 12TH - MERIT BADGE COLLEGE

MARCH 19TH - PLAN FOR CARTER NOTCH

What do you bring on a winter camp out? What kind of menu do you want? How do you pack your back pack? What should you wear? These questions will be answered for this trip. Be prepared with a partial list and questions if needed.

WHAT IS THE TRAIL TO EAGLE?

For Life Scouts who are close to working on their Eagle: there will be a special session at the March 19th meeting to answer questions and clear up some of the things that you may not be sure about. Make sure you attend!!

ALSO, ON MARCH 19TH WE WILL BE HAVING AN IGLOO BUILDING CONTEST OUT IN THE PARKING LOT – BRING A SHOVEL AND A FLASHLIGHT!!

MARCH 26TH - tentatively, Order of the Arrow elections., Merit Badge College.
