Permission Slip, Gulf Hagas Trip


When: Friday, May 30 - Sunday, June 1, 2003

Where: Camp at Peaks-Kinny State Park, near Dover-Foxcroft. Saturday, hike the Gulf Hagas Rim Trail, a 10-mile loop around the Gulf Hagas canyon. Hike includes multiple waterfalls and a stream crossing. Visit the Katahdin Iron Works site. On Sunday, we'll hike the Elephant Mountain trail, which passes the site of a B-52 plane crash from 1956.

Cost: Camping: $15 per site per night. Site holds up to 6 people.
Food: $12 per person, includes breakfast-lunch-dinner on Saturday and breakfast-lunch on Sunday.

Gas: $5 unless traveling with own family. Adult cost will not include gas fee.
