It'll be a 75-mile trip. I do it in about 90 minutes, no stops. I recommend you allow 2 hrs.
Don't forget, at Warren, take the Route 90 left-turn shortcut to go to Rockport instead of Rockland. Plenty of signs.
I've attached a map - this actually shows another shortcut to get to the SnowBowl before before Rt90 re-joins Rt1 at Camden - Taking a left at traffic light & Rockport Diner onto Meadow Street.
Attractions(?) along the way:
Brunswick:
Suspension walking bridge across Androscoggin RiverBath Iron Works, new Sagadahoc Bridge over the Kennebec River
Wiscasset: Ex-
Maine Yankee site - look right after going by rt 144 before Wiscasset - can't see anything anymore....but that's the point!Wiscasset -
Red's Eats (probably closed for season)Damariscotta Reversing Falls, on
right side of bridge after the mile-straightaway - depends on tides.Nobleboro - home of "
Camp KieveWaldoboro -
Moody's Diner, top of northern hillWarren –
East Coast Land-Rover on left side of Route 90Rockport - Camden-Hills High School, Rt 90.
Camden -
Maiden Cliffs, Up route 52 about 3 miles north of town, back side of Mt. Battie & Mt Megunticook. A bit out of the way, but very scenic drive-by area where the road is squeezed in between cliffs & the lake.
