BSA TROOP 58     Trip Notice

 

What:              Acadia National Park / Bicycling on the Carriage Roads

                        This is a Friday evening to Sunday Afternoon trip to beautiful Acadia, another trip which we've done several times before. Rock climbing on Saturday is optional. Please fill out separate permission slip for rock climbing.

 

When:             Friday, April 23 - Sunday, April 25  (Second Weekend of vacation week)

                        Friday, leave town between 5 and 6 pm, after drivers get off work.  Quick Supper along the way.  Saturday, Biking along the famous Carriage trails. Rock Climbing on Saturday afternoon.

 

Where:            Blackwoods Campground, Acadia National Park.  Approximately 3 hours from town.

 

Equipment:      Tent Camping and Bicycle with appropriate clothing and gear.  April can be chilly - bring hat and gloves for bike ride and suitable clothing.  The troop has tents and gear, but bring your own if you have it.

                        We need at least one person with a trailer to tow bicycles.  Let us know if you have a trailer.

 

Payment:         Expected cost for the trip is $15 for food and campsite, plus $40 for rock climbing.
